Share Your Yoga Inspired Stories with Us!

Everybody starts out on THEIR yoga path for THEIR own reason or reasons, but somehow we all wind up on the journey together; in a yoga class with friends, our sister, mother, father, brother, son, daughter, our lover or spouse, and with perfect strangers, who all make room for us to roll out a mat and be a part of each other’s space. Sharing one movement at a time, one couldn't be more grateful to be a part of the whole of this amazing class.

At SANKHYA YOGA, our space is your space, period. And you have all of the room in the world to be and express exactly who YOU are... allowing your life to be inspired by the yoga practice, and shaping that experience into anything that you desire. Finding a way, finding the space to Live Your Passion!

If you are living your passion, searching for your passion, or somewhere in between, we want to hear your story. Post a comment and share this space with us or feel free to start your own yoga inspired discussion!

  1. Some fellow yogis and i, who may just happen to be sankhya teachers and students alike, were musing over wine and a youtube video of JK Rowling's Harvard Commencement speech about the idea of failure. Rowling states, " It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default." This led to discussions of failed relationships, failed yoga poses, failed experiments and the like and that through our failures we have learned greater lessons. We also realized how lucky we are to have found each other and Sankhya. It is a place not only filled with wonderful people, spirit and joy, but it is a place where people have come to succeed and fail and experience every step in between. A fall from a balance pose, a meditation that never allowed for a quiet mind,an inability to open one's hips; though not failures per se are welcomed by the space at Sankhya and consequently have manifested into moments of acceptance and peace and perhaps pride; of which never may fully have been realized had we not struggled in the first place.
